's latest journal reminded me that I'm a lazy bum with almost nothing to do through out the whole month of July and at the same time gave me a solution.

El rules ['cause I fail at summarizing stuff]:

"1. Complete, on average, one sketch a day for the entire month of July. As July has 31 days, that gives an extra 'safe' day.

2. This count and timeframe is flexible so long as 30 sketches are complete by 11:59PM, July 31st, local time. There is no hard start date as it is nearly into the month already.

3. Each sketch should be brought to a 'finished' state. It does not need to be a full piece of art - just a completed sketch. What constitutes a completed sketch is up to the discretion of the artist.

4. All sketches should revolve around a central theme, as determined in advance by the artist. The theme can be anything. There are several LJ communities that operate under a similar premise ([info]30_kisses, [info]30_nights, [info]30_kills, [info]30_cracks, etc.). It is not a requirement to join one of these communities, but the artist may do so as desired.

5. No pressure. Have fun."

The purpose of this whole thing, from what I understand, is to make an effort to get up off our asses, make something, and imrove on your art. All of which I desperately need. :[

The general topic I chose was "monster friends" which basically means I chose to draw monsters from fandoms like Pokemon, Digimon, Subeta and what not. Which means that any original characters of mine are NOT going to count. So it's kind of a narrowed version of "fanart" I guess. Oh, and I'm not going to draw humans. No. The most I'll do is anthro. *nod* OH and fancharacters will count. 'Cause I said, dammit. D:
